January 2011 - A recent book review in the Wall Street Journal has created a maelstrom surrounding Asian parenting styles and put Yale law professor Amy Chua (author of Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother) in the middle of the controversy. Whether or not you've read the book, the WSJ article, or any of the thousands of blogs and Facebook comments is not as important as your personal experiences as an Asian American parent of child of Asian parents.
