I've been observing the debate on health care reform, Obama's most controversial initiative to date. Interesting that no one was screaming at public forums over government involvement to rescue AIG, or General Motors. I am deeply concerned how this critical and important discussion is being held hostage by a few aggressively loud and inappropriate citizens who are posing to represent a valid argument when their goal is only to drum up fears and avoidance of the real issues. There is a legitimate debate to be had and it keys on our core values: Is health care in America a right or a privilege? If it is a privilege, then those who can afford it should get it, and those who can't should not. If healthcare is a right, then we must devise a way to pay for it and delivery it in a way that provides access to healthcare for everyone.
